The Long Awaited Henry Pictures....

Henry came home on Wednesday 10-21-09 after staying in the NICU for 11 days. Here are the first pictures for everyone to see. It starts off from the beginning.....

Henry was intubated after 2 days of no improvement on his own with this lung development. He received 2 doses of surfactant to help his lungs develop. He was intubated less than 24 hours. Also because he wasn't eating orally, his bilirubin was increasing- to decrease that he was on a Bili-light blanket.
Like the shades!
After the intubation tube came out, he was put on a C-Pap machine.

Mom holding him for the first time.

The excited dad!

Some of the pictures aren't the greatest but they are cute. We tried to not use the flash when his eyes were open.
Henry received his poor veins from his mom. His IVs never lasted and he had to have one put in his head.

Skin to skin with dad.

Transitioned to a crib and just a feeding tube. He was a little slow starting to breastfed since he really didn't have to work to get food (since he would get it through the tube).

A little more awake.

Henry on Sunday. He was the laziest that day. This was him pretty much all day!
A picture before going home. His clothes are so big...and mom forgot to use the flash!
Full tummy before going home.
